Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Jolie, Illinois recently broke ground on the new Senior Healing Arts Pavilion.
The new addition represents an $11 million investment by Presence Health, based around the senior health of the Romeoville community. The facility will be almost 27,000 square feet and have multiple uses catering to seniors. Services will include immediate care, general office visits, minor care and preventative health provisions.
The Pavilion is officially the first and only one of its kind in the region. Specific care elements include mammography, CT scanning, MRI, physical therapy rooms, lab and bone density recording; all of which will be available to the general public in full.
Beyond the immediate physical services of the new space, the Senior Healing Arts Pavilion will help residents deal with the complexities of health care through wellness activities, medical resources for caregivers and community educational events. It will also house a much needed senior fitness center.
Construction on the new site is set to begin in the next few weeks.
